Not much attention has been paid to the issue of street racing by teens. Yet, a new driving study by Liberty Mutual Insurance and SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions, reveals that young people themselves rank it among the most dangerous driving behaviors among teens.Interestingly, the study of 3,580 tenth, eleventh, and twelfth-graders representing 29 high schools across the country also reveals that more than one third (38) percent of teen drivers admit they have engaged in street racing, despite 73 percent of those drivers also reporting they they feel the behavior is at least somewhat dangerous.”
