Stephen’s new feature article appearing in the September/October edition of Camping Magazine, “No Retreat: Convening Communities of Caring in Times of Loss and Grief,” discusses the critical role of summer camps in responding to tragedies that occur outside of the summer camp setting. He draws on his own experiences as a director at Cape Cod Sea Camps as well as from two camps affected by last February’s school shootings in Parkland, FL.
