The Mercury: Crashes are #1 Killer of Teens

In November and December, the parents of four Pottstown area teenagers received the dreaded phone call in the middle of the night or an officer appeared at their door — the hopeless message that a child had died in a car wreck.

Those deaths are now part of statistics that show that death rates for teens on the nation’s roadways are alarmingly and unacceptably high.
