On Friday, November 20th Stephen gave the keynote address at the Connecticut Association of School Based Health Centers (CASBHC) conference held at the Water’s Edge Resort in Westbrook, CT. His focus was on improving teen – adult communication and the important role that school based health professionals play in guiding children and families toward open, constructive dialogue about such issues as underage drinking, other drug use, and early initiation of sexual behavior. Following his presentation, Stephen answered questions and signed copies of his book, Reality Gap: Alcohol, Drugs, and Sex — What Parents Don’t Know and Teens Aren’t Telling … Protecting Kids in a Changing World. CASBHC is an advocacy and networking organization committed to increasing access to quality health care for all children and adolescents in Connecticut schools.
