On Wednesday, August 30 Stephen co-headlined three events sponsored by Nantucket Cottage Hospital in conjunction with Be Well, Nantucket Golf Club Foundation, Gosnold, Briarpatch Pediatrics, Fairwinds and the Cape and Islands Suicide Prevention Coalition in collaboration with the Nantucket Behavioral Health Task Force. The main presentation, “Parenting in Challenging Times: The Pillars to Building Success and Resiliency,” included Scott Poland, Ed.D., a professor in the College of Psychology at Nova Southeastern University and a senior research fellow and national advisory board member at the Center for Adolescent Research and Education (CARE). It began at 6:00 pm at Nantucket High School and was followed at 8:30 pm by an event for CARE at Fifty-Six Union restaurant.
