It explores the signs and symptoms of depression, highlighting the fact that youth in pain need help to understand that it is unlikely they will always feel that way. The piece includes research from The Jed Foundation, Partnership for Drug-Free Kids, and The Jordan Porco Foundation. The Jed Foundation is a collaborator at the Center for Adolescent Research and Education (CARE) as is the National Association of School Psychologists, the president of which, Stephen E. Brock, Ph.D., is quoted in the column.
